How has it been up there. I am leaving for Lake Of The Woods, Friday usually stay at Virgina Mn., Friday night and then finish the last two and half hours Saturday morning. We usually have breakfeast at International Falls around 7 to 8 am. and then cross over, do you think we should skip breakfeast and cross sooner? Thanks, Al

hey -- have'nt crossed in 2 months but had to comment about breakfast in I-falls --- BARNEYS , can't get our crew to eat anywhere else. Our local friends from fort france say the traffic doe'snt back up till after 8;00 am , even on the weekends . Have a good trip -- I leave for 2 weeks in 8 days. ManitouDan

I would cross as early as possible, even though the crossing going back has been the big problem. They are working on the bridge crossing to the American side, and had lines backed up to the cemetary in Fort Francis, if you know where that is.We came back Monday at 8 a.m. and it was fine, but they are stopping you twice with the second time using a Xray machine to go over your boat, so this will also add to your time if you hit a busy time.In years past, I have seen mile long lines crossing into Canada on a Saturday, so we usually cross on Friday instead, or around 5-6 a.m. if we cross on Saturday.Good luck on your trip, and hope you get decent weather.Really unstable this year for July.

Think about crossing at Baudette, it's a lot easier (if you are fishing the Morson area). I think two cars is the most I have had in front of me there.

I have been crossing at Warroad for the past 2 years going to the NW Angle. Have never had more than a couple cars in front of me and never had a problem getting in.

Although, probably alot less traffic heading up into that area.
