Location: Algonquin, ILL | As many of you are getting ready to leave for the long weekend I wish you all a safe Holiday, be carefull what ever your destination.
This week has not been very good for us my daughter broke her leg Monday night at first the doctors thought it was a simple dislocated ankel but she was in so much pain and her leg was so swolen that they kept her in the hospital over night, Tuesday morning she was still in extreme pain but the swelling went down so they took additional x-rays where they saw that she had not only dislocated her ankel but broke her leg in two places and tore one ligament so this morning after four hours of surgery adding three screws, one plate, one rod, repairing torn ligament and reseting her ankel we were able to see her again, my brother who only works a mile away from the hospital decided to come and visit her during his lunch break but on his way he got into a car accident right in front of the hospital ( Nobody Seriously Hurt) the lady that he hit pulled out in front of him and he had no time to react she admitted full fault as her mind was elsewhere she just found out that she was being recalled to active duty in the reserves and was not paying attention this is where it really gets weird, the lady that he hit is a nurse at the hospital the same nurse that had taken care of my daughter during surgery, while waiting for the Police and Ambulance he called his wife and she called her husband now remember it was lunch time as they were talking to thier spouses both spouses suddenly went silent it turns out that the spouses work at the same company and were sharing a lunch table when they got the calls. My Daughter is doing fine she should be able to go home on Friday, my brother is just a little sore and the car is repairable, the nurse is really upset about the whole mess.
I think I will stay real close to home for a few days
