When do Muskies spend time in the Reeds? The lakes in IL/Wisconsin I fish do not have Reeds, I was told
that the lakes in MN have reeds and there are different times during the year with a Reed bite? When is the
Reed bite?

Any help is appreciated.

thanks

Though the reed bite may take on the appearance of many things to many peeps at many times, it basically is a manuever that puts a fish on it's side and a bite occurs near the base of the reed; this can be both a beautiful yet sad sight, as when they resort to reed biting, it most often indicates a severe lack of bait fish available, resulting in the activity mentioned above. A school of hungry musky looks like a group of city employees mowing the local park; stuff flying every which ways...dogs do the same thing to cat tails here...

Thanks for the replies so far, I will ask my questions another way.

"Is there are certain time of the year, or water temp that muskies relate to reeds, versus rocks, cabbage etc?"

Is this a spring, summer, fall type pattern?

Thanks again!
