I live in the northeast and really only do a couple of weeks a "true musky fishing" a year. What advise would anyone have using reeper tails? Should they be rigged on just a large jighead or or used a teaser on a spinnerbait? In theory, I like the idea of using them on a jighead as a "switch-up bait" on a follow but have never heard of how they're used. I have read about jigs being used for pike in deep water. Is this theory the same for musky or are they used in shallower water as well. Last year I spent two weeks beating the water on good lakes and only produced one follow and one 37er". Thanks for any help.

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin		My Dad brought the Reaper north about 30 years ago when Harold Ensley was having touble selling them to the bass guys. He, Jim Cairnes, and Tony Portincaso designed several new jigs to work the reaper, and Larry latino eventually went to work for the company that developed the Reaper to what you see now.

Use a 1/4 to 3/8 oz standup jig, and superglue the reaper to the head. Cast it out, let it sink to the bottom, point the rod at the lure and reel very fast three times. Wait for the line to go slack, repeat.
