| Did anyone fish the LOTW opener? If so, how did you do? What seemed to be the key pattern(s). Try and include as much info as you would be willing to disclose. We will be up there this Saturday and I need to whip up a game plan. Thanks much! |

| Yes I fished the opener, caught 5, biggest was a 40 incher, seems the females are still recuperating from the spawn. Water temps are cold 55F to 60F in the back bays, very little weeds, water high, weather crappy. Found them close to the spawning bays in ~7 feet of water, in what little weed I could find. Best bait was an 8 inch firetiger rapala shallow super shad rap, twitch and pause retrieve. |

Location: Sioux Narrows | Caught two on opener, 50" and 41" and missed and couple other low 40 fish. Found these fish in the weeds in 3-6ft and old dead reeds, high water helps. the smaller one was caught on a small bucktail and the big one came on a walleye pattern manta. The water temps like Gord said are low and with the weather we are having and whats forecasted its not warming up any time soon.Today fished for about 2 hours for muskies seen 3 but they where so slow moving and goofy, they would follow late and then follow in a figure eight and bump the baits but would not open there mouths. What part of the lake are you fishing?Good luck. |

| We're fishing Sabaskong 6/26-7/3. I've been watching the forecast on accuweather.com and there seems to be a warming trend during the week we're there. Did your fish come out of bays, off shorelines, or around islands? If they came from bays, do you remember what direction they were facing? Thanks much!
P.S. What's the weed growth like? Gord said it was crappy. I sure hope not come 6/26.

| Awesome fish Darcy!!! esox50 - Weed growth is severly stunted for this time of year, no tops showing at all. All my fish were in the shallow back bay areas, facing south. |

Location: Sioux Narrows | In Sabaskong there should be a little more weed growth due to its shallower darker water. My fish came out what weeds I did find, did raise some fish out in deeper water (mouth of bays, but these fish were not active at all, very sluggish.I hope that this weather warms up and get to some normaity as far as fish patterns.Good luck. |
