Heading up thru Int. Falls/Ft. Francis next week. Whats to be expected this year? Was caught by surprise with the potato ban last year. Is it still in effect? How about delays going/comming back thru customs? What have your experiences been so far this year?

I called the customs office at Warroad last week. The beef ban has been lifted. You can transport up to 11# per person. Potatoes are ok as long as they are commercially packaged. This seems to change often so it might not hurt to call. I'm going on the information they porvided and will keep my fingers crossed. I don't have the number handy or I would post.

Leaving in five days for the angle!

Good luck and have a great trip!!

Just came back from Manitoba. Onions were no problem. If you bring potatoes, they must be processed into a package form like scallops or powdered mash. Just potatoes in a bag is not going to make it.

We were through Pembina/Emerson Just last Friday coming home, nothing big there. But, on the way up a week ago Saturday, we had a long wait. The officer working was checking everyone's background, so each vehicle took about 15 minutes. After about 45 minutes of waiting, it was my turn, and they changed officers. I was through in 3 minutes.

Talked to a guy who lives in international falls. he said on Saturday mornings, you can expect a 2 to 2-1/2 hour delay at Fort Frances. If you have the time, I'd drive to Rainy river and cross there.
They have always been really nice and have not been that busy.

Good luck on your trips. I have to wait until the 12th of July yet for my LOTW outing..

Going home, I would avoid friday and Saturday during the day. There have been wicked, long line-ups this year. It seems those time periods are when you guys have had enough of us and head home. Not too sure coming in though.
