Location: Illinois-Indiana | I will be on my honeymoon July 12th thru July 21st in Clearwater Beach Florida and was wondering if anyone had any info on Tarpon fishing in "THAT AREA".

| I would consider that too late for tarpon, they will have already been through the area. Google Florida fishing guides for the area you will be in and locate a guide. Some guides have daily or weekly reports of their success and look for some that seem like they know what they're doing. Ask what's biting in the time frame you're visiting, and if that's what you want to catch jump aboard. I'll give you the name of the guide I 've used three times in the Tampa area if you want. Location: Barrington, Il | Call Tarpon Tom's 727-938-2379. They are just north of Clearwater and do Bass and saltwater charters. The tarpon should be coming into Tampa Bay by then. Make sure you go to Frenchy's Saltwater Cafe. It's just 2 blocks from the beach, where the locals go. Otherwise, most of the guides are down at Boca Grande (2 hours south) at that time of year.
