The Chain is open once again, be careful as there is probably a lot of floating debri out there due to the high water.

Water Restriction Updates:
Effective Sunday, June 6th at noon, the waters North of the McHenry Dam are "No Wake". This includes the Upper River and all Lakes on the Chain. The Lower River, South of McHenry Dam, remains closed due to high water levels and strong currents.

I was out there last night until dark:30. It sucked! Weeds are all munged up, lots of floaters, an overall nasty swamp smell to the system. Water is still very high with many docks under water. I wouldn't expect to be able to light up the big motor for another week or more. Channel has about 2-3ft visibility with a brown stain. Marie is starting to look like pea soup. Water temps were 70.

Maybe all of the sewage in the chain is screwing it up? I am going on a Canoe trip out of Ottawa on the fox
and the guy told me that the river is almost normal because they are holding all the water in the chain
becasue a bunch of sewage was released and they do not want to send it down the river.

Time to catch some pan fish for a fish fry and go swimming!
