Location: north central wisconsin | the river here in Central WI is actually as low today as it has been in weeks. Weird. I thought it would be ripping today. They must not have gotten much rain north of us. Muskies dropped back off a bit(water was dropping while we fished), and a 34" was all that was hungry today. Hopefully some rain will fall up north to bring things back up around here. |

| We had 9" of rain in an hour yesterday and our little "pond" outside of CR had one of those twirley things ,er, tornados take out lots of trees, some houses and barns. No injuries thank God.Ma Nature can be tough! Steve |

Location: Athens, Ohio | Northern Athens County, Ohio is starting to dry up now. Me wife spent most of the day yesterday - while Mauser and I were out fishing - with one of her friends whose husband is in Iraq and lost her home due to the flash flood. Everything is pretty well ruined, even books on the shelves are starting to smell of fuel oil and mold. She is just above the income guidelines for any assistance, and of course had no insurance. These SE Ohio hillbillies are strong people, and folks help each other here. What a mess, though. m |

| Doing ok here in SW MI. The wind downed a large oak near the house, most of it is now laying on and in the big deck attached to the front of the house. Parts of the deck are all smashed up. One big branch rolled down the front the house, tearing out the gutter and putting a big branch through a window.
We stood in the center of our house and watched the storm front come across the lake. Knew it was a big wind due to the water devils that were dancing thier way toward us. Watched the tree come down and all. Watched the wind lift our duck boat on shore - tumbled it down the beach, dragging its anchor, until the boat was out of sight. Later found the boat 5 houses down with the anchor caught under a pier.
Now on the lists of the tree guys and the building contractor to come and fix things up. Tree clean up will require a bucket truck due to parts of it being hung in another oak. Anybody need some good hardwood for this coming winter? |

OK, I have someone North of me in Michigan with damage, and someone east of me in Ohio with Damage... Gonna have to call a friend and have him stop by the cottage in Indiana and see if its still there.. already lost my shed this year.... |

| We've got flood watches out in our area. River just down from the house is about ten inches from the roadway and it's not expected to crest until tomorrow afternoon. I know there are other areas that have roadways under water. Lots and lots and lots of standing water in the fields around here. Farmers will have something new to complain about now. (Just a joke, I've got a lot of farmer friends that I kid about that. A good farmer has to have something to complain about...even if he has to make it up.)

Location: Chicago, Beverly | Was by Salt Creek and the Des Plains river out in Brookfield IL today, both are up quite a bit in that area but do not look as if they will crest(I think thats the right term to use) unless this rain that just went through messes things up worse... |
