Location: Racine, Wi | So the short Pole (kly) and I hit the water for a couple of hours last night to try and get his first tiger. Well, we raised 3 fish, and he missed a good one, and I popped a 36" pure. The point I'm getting at, is when my fish hit, it came flying out of the water, and then ran. As it was running, a bigger fish tried not once, but 3 times to hit the fish on my line!!!!!
I couldn't believe it. I thought it was just following my fish in, but then it tried to eat mine!! What a meal. And they say small baits for spring fish.
I am now working on a 3' musky colored suick type bait made from a 2x4.
Any ideas of what kind of rod to throw it on? 
We will stick that big girl tonight if the storms hold off.

Were you on a "small, metro Mt. Pleasant body of water" If so, I still have to get on that fish factory with you next time I am down there.
If not, where approximately were you hunting tigers?

Location: Holly, MI | I'd say the same aforementioned 2x4 would work to throw it. A standard 8 ft stud should work fine but watch out for knot-holes, they would definatly be a weak spot. You will want the lag bolt type screw eyes to slide the clothes line thru and a leash for a big dog should make a nice leader, they have a secure snap on the end too. Can we get some video footage of your poolside demo of the "super-Suick" ? |

Hmmmm, these things all have a profile similar to myself. I might not want to go swimming in there any more. ha ha ha |

Do you remember that guy that caught that 51"-52"? out of Pewaukee a couple of years back. It had a 36" musky in its stomach. Hard to imagine, but true.
If you want, I can contact one of my customers in Georgian Bay to see if I can get you some of their monster baits that they use up there. Something like a 16" Jointed Believer? I kid you not bud, I just finished painting one of those up. Good luck bud! |

Location: Davenport, IA | A couple weeks ago I saw a 10-12" muskie with a 6" crappie in its mouth. Think about how big around a 10-12" muskie is and how small their mouth is. I have no idea what this fish was thinking. It was sitting there for 20 minutes just shaking the crappie once in awhile and holding it in its mouth. I'm sure it eventually either dropped the crappie or died trying to eat it. Muskies can be pretty stupid. |

| I've got a 3 inch LM Bass in an aquarium that will try to eat a 3 inch crappie minnow. He can get the head in and that is all. When the minnow struggles it shakes the entire bass. Not too smart. |

Location: Kentucky | Boat partner caught a 5" bluegill on a half ounce Rattletrap on the Cave Sunday. Didn't snag it, the fish actually hit. I never would have believed it. |
