I always keep my shirt on and a fully brimmed "fishing" hat on my head. It helps with seeing follows too. |

Location: Eastern Ontario | I'm out there getting baked all the time and I use Coppertone Sport 30, it's sweatproof, non slip and waterproof. I still apply it at least 3 times a day to make sure I don't get burned. I also make sure to wear white T-Shirts on sunny days as it helps keeping me cool as I find dark shirts attract the sun and heat. |

Location: Ogden, Ut | I'm w/ Richard on this one. Coppertone Sport series sunscreens (at least SPF 30, sometimes 48). The 48 can seem a bit greasy when first applied, but after a few minutes I barely notice it; besides, I usually only use the 48 on my face and ears. Stuff stays on good too. At these higher elevations (about 4900 ft.), it's pretty important.

| I've always heard that the scent of sunscreen turns the fish off. Any truth to that? |

Location: Urbana, IL | Skin-so-soft or copertone sport. Haven't found that the scent turns off fish, but I do use P & P sportsman's or marine solution on my hands after applying the sunscreen. That stuff takes off ALL odors, especially oil, gas, and fish slime. Works great on blood too. |

| Howdy Howie! Fine so far; only 'cause Spongette knows me life insurance is going to a local zoo if I expire by her hands. I gave up long days in the sun on a board quite a few years back; too many peeps getting fried and getting spots gouged by the dermos. I make triple dog sure I slather the stuff on now. Here at the house I am on god status...I get a burnt offering every night for dinner!
***On a serious note, DO WEAR the stuff- not worth the chance... |

Location: Hastings, mn, 55033 | i have 2 questions. has anyone tried the new sunscreen wipes? i wonder if they're any good. when fishing alone its hard to apply sunscreen on your back and shoulders, thought maybe the wipes would be a little easier. also, where to you get the p and p wash stuff or the other kind mentioned? |
