How many of you have caught multiple fish off one spot? My partner have each caught 3 fish at a single visit to a given spot. Also do any of you give credence to the Joe Bucher theory of the lead fish being the biggest? Our experience with multiple fish at one time on one spot was that they were pretty much the same size.

Sorry to whomever's post I deleted off this thread...was going 100mph in moderating, and hit the delete key by mistake. I just love to hit that delete key so much, I sometimes get ahead of myself. SORRY!

I agree with your findings. From my experience with multipul fish on the same spot thay have always been pretty much the same size. I think that fish from the same year classes tend to school and hunt together. In my experience I've never had a structure that had a 50" plus on it produce a fish smaller then 46" I not saying they were not there but they weren't going to risk their neck to follow or eat a bait. I have had multiple fish days froma small area many times over the years. My experience is whatever muskies are cruising the area and are active enough to respond well get put in the net. I have not experienced the same size syndrome discussed earlier, perhaps it's the waters I fish.

"Spot" is a relative term. We have caught 3 fish trolling a small spot but we have caught 8 fish from a short stretch of weedline, say 75ft.

I pulled 3 fish in a row (3 passes) off one spot ( the size of a car) including fighting and releasing took less then 45 minutes, they came in that order 51-49-48 and I then caught another 50 incher a couple hundread yards downriver 15 minutes later.

I had an evening last summer where I hooked had on for perhaps a minute and lost a fish in the low fifties, cried for a second, and then caught a 39 and a 43 on the next two casts. Pretty good spread as to size. The funny thing is if I had boated the big one I probably would have missed out on the other two by screwing around with pics and such. Pretty unique situation but I have to say I would have traded landing the big girl for a chance at the other two.

I have had numerous encounters with multiple fish on one spot. I have not noticed any relation to size at all. I have witnessed three footers on the same spot as 45'ers. Last fall I had the biggest fish I have ever seen on Pelican eat a sucker just minutes after figure eighting a 38-40 incher. I do know that at times it seems as if they are in a wolf pack, but have not noticed the same size phenomenom.

YES!!!! WELL, sort of.

I had a 52~ going round and round on a figure 8 up in canada on a tiny little inside haven to some islands. The fish finally decides not to eat and I watch it swim off left. Craig Eversoll says something to the affect "that sucks" and fires his bait into the opposite direction but still inside this relatively small area...sticks a 51 after 2 cranks...

BIG fish can hang out in the same area...and this isn't the first time we have had multiple fish from this small area.
