| If you get to Cave Run in next day or so check the main lake point(by the camping area) between Zilpo Flats and Claylick boat ramp. There are a few carp in and around the weedbeds and shallows all over this point and associated flat. Tried to count one group as I moved the boat through them and lost track at 104. I did not note the state record carp in this group, biggest ones topped out in the 12 to 15 lb class. Am sure there were bigger ones that I didn't see. A double godzillion in the 3-7 lb. class. Seemed to cover a city block from where it drops off sharp on the point to the area where it spreads out as you turn to go to zilpo. Water conditions and temps excellent. I believe we can expect a VERY GOOD HATCH OF CARP THIS YEAR!!!

Location: Kentucky | That's hilarious firstsixfeet. LOL I was on the Cave on Monday and I seen carp everywhere. We definitely don't have a shortage of carp. I also had the sky open up on me about 5 pm or so and I got pelted with 1/2 inch size hail for afew minute's. I didn't care for it much, but the Musky seemed to like it. I had six different Musky to the boat and couldn't get a one to take a lure. I even went back on a couple of them and got them to follow in again, with the same result's. Four came from laydown's and two out of weedbed's. Did you get anything in the boat? cpr Chris |

| Yes indeed, I did get something in the boat. I spilled a big glop of sunblocker on the carpet. Still got burned. I have never seen carp staging like they were on this point. My wild guess, in excess of 1,00 fish right there. Not particularly boat shy, more intent on spawning than Slamr on a Friday nite...;-) |
