Its just too darn fast right now... Even my slow computer at work is rocking..

It will take me days to adjust from Turtle speed to Rabbit speed.

Nice Job Zach.. And Thank you Steve for buying the extras we needed to get the job done.[]

slamr: Thought I would respond to that question about why it takes so long to open pictures, etc. Of course, I am no expert & this is rather simplistic. But here goes:

I have two computers with internet access.

One is at home and works thru a modem thru my telephone service (Verizon). Things that take up a lot of room like pictures, photos, gifs, that sort of stuff take up a lot of space and open very slowly at times while at the same time, printed materials open quickly( because they take up little space.)

The other computer at work (yep, I get online there too) opens very quickly. As a matter of fact, everything is open when I access any site. I couldn't understand why this happens until recently. I found out that the service provider is a cable company(Comcast) and that when I come online it is thru their fiber optic cables. It's wonderful.

I have a choice of both. Now the pros & cons as I see them:

telephone modem:

Costs around $20 a month
Slow loading except at less peak times.
Install a second line if you want to talk on the phone when the internet is on. Thus, an extra phone bill. However, it is especially nice if you have a teenager or a beautiful daughter.

Cable (fiber optic):

Costs about $47.00 per month.
On at all times (reallly a terrific feature)
No second line needed since you can talk on the telephone and access the internet without interuption when the phone rings. However, you may still need the second phone if you have a teenager or beautiful daughter.

Is it worth the difference? You have to weigh it for yourself. Check them both out and then you can make your own decision. If you really need the speed, it is worth it. Most likely, this is avaialble or will be in the near future.
