Location: Thief River Falls MN | Does anyone know how to adjust these. Mine sticks when you try to shift into gear. If you wiggle the throttle lever it will go into gear, but it is getting tougher to do. I have it somewhat apart and the only adjustments I can see are for throttle tension, and another, which is a ball bearing that bears against the plate that rotates when the control is engaged. The motor is a '99 Johnson 90 if this helps. Thanks in advance.

| I had the same issue with my Johnson 50, same year as yours.
What I found is that if you follow your cables back to where the shifting on the motor takes place, you will see a little curved plate that a roller follows along for engagement. put a little grease on that, and it should be good to go...at least thats what it took for mine.
