Location: Morehead, KY | A new Kentucky Chapter of Muskies, Inc. will hold its first business meeting and election, Friday, May 7 at 7:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Minor Clark Fish Hatchery, near Morehead. The purpose of this meeting will be to nominate and elect officers and to vote for a chapter name. The Chapter has contacted 90 men, women, and youth who regularly fish for muskies in Cave Run Lake, Buckhorn Lake, Green River Lake, and the several Kentucky streams with muskie fisheries.
Suggested Chapter names include Wildcat Muskie Hunters, Southern Muskie Hunters, Bluegrass Chapter, and Daniel Boone Chapter. Additional suggestions are encouraged. Chapter programs and goals will also be discussed.
Muskies, Inc. is an active, service-oriented, non-profit organization for men; women and children with the single focus of improving the sport of muskie fishing everywhere the fish are found.
Directions to Minor Clark Fish Hatchery: Take Exit 133 off Interstate 64 onto Ky Rt. 801 (South toward Cave Run Lake). Stay on Rt. 801 past four way stop at Ky Rt. 60 and turn right off Rt. 801 into Hatchery grounds at sign about 1.3 miles past Ky. Rt. 60 intersection.
