| Ralph,
First class set up. Nice rooms, good restaurant and bar. They have power hook ups for your boat. I don't know if their marina is done yet. |

Location: Lake Vermilion Tower, MN | White Eagle is a real nice family type resort. However, it dosen't have a cafe or a bar, you must be mistaken.
It's located on the western shoreline of Head of the Lakes Bay, near Cook.
Mike and his family work very hard to make your trip a great one.
They also have some of the best rental boats on the Big V.
You can see more on their website, whiteeagle dotcom.:)

You're a lucky man, Tommy usually doesn't just give away his best spots like that.
He is right on, but one thing I would add is, black, orange and white work good too.
Other than that just follow Tommy's pointers and you should be fine.
There are soooooo many good spots on the Big V, with a bunch not far from the White
Eagle. You can easily fish the entire Western half of the lake, from the Cook end.
And that half should give you plenty to do for a week. A trip to the East would take
about 30+ minutes if you want to check it out.
If you are on the Big V, It's all good!
Good Luck and have a great trip!

Location: Lake Vermilion Tower, MN | Hey Ralph,
You'll find more places to fish than you can believe just a short boatride from the resort.
One of the largest deep cabbage beds on the Big V is in Head of the Lakes Bay.
Mainlake points and island groups of all sizes, are right at your doorstep.
Wakemup bay has lots of reefs and rocks to fish and it's only a 5 minute boat ride from the dock.
Great resort, with a lot of good water close by. Shoot me an e-mail, maybe we can hook up while your here on the Big V. |

We stay at Muskego Point Resort in Wakemup Narrows. This will be our 5th year. The west end is great but with a GPS you can establish a track to the east end and make that trip pretty quick. I took my GPS with me when Ace took Jake and me to the east end last year. After that, it was 17 minutes from Trout Lake Portage to Muskego point. Even faster with your boat I'm sure. We'll be up there the last full week in July. I'll be anxious to hear how your trip goes. It's an awesome lake for a lot of reasons. Ace and Tom are just 2 of them. |
