Just picked up my Wisconsin Annual Non-resident Family License, $65.00 for my wife and I, last year it was $52.00.

My Illinois Resident License was $15.00, add to that $18.00 for Trailer License Plates and $60.00 for the Fox Water Way sticker and the total comes to $93.00.

Add all the annual costs together and it's $158.00 before the boat even gets wet, I don't even want to think about Gas, Oil, Insurance, Bait, Tackle Etc.

What are you paying these days to Fish?

No mater what the cost, it's still pretty cheap entertainment, and it sure beats yardwork!

Right now if I fill the 2050 from empty here it will cost me over $100. License isn't bad, worth the money, as is the fuel, really. I can spend a C spot taking my son and his wife out to dinner, easy. With a full tank in the 2050 I can fish Canada for a week and still have 15 gallons left.

I am with you Worrall. For the hours that a guy can spend with a license, it is really cheap!

Over the Easter weekend I had my wife, five daughters, and one of them brought a boyfriend out for dinner. A little over 2 hours plus, dinner bill is $135 before a tip. Not being a miser. Memories are "priceless".

A patron license in WI for residents costs $140 and covers every permit you need for a year of fishing anywhere and anything in the state; hunting small game, deer with a gun and bow, turkey permits/license if drawn, waterfowl except Federal duck stamp, State Park permit, subscription to a magazine, trapping if I wanted it,,,,A whole year and countless hours of fun, relaxation. Price per hour is pennies if you could, or wanted, to calculate it. If they raised the resident patron license to $400 I would figure out a way to afford it.

The costs for license fees are a pittance when you compare it against almost any other entertainment available. Movies, dining out, golf, cannot even atempt to compare it to drinking (eh eh) on a cost per hour.

We truly have it made for the cost of license fees, and the available places to enjoy the sport, in the state of WI.

Licences is just another expense. I buy a yearly out of state licence for Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Canada. 6 different licences, o well, if you want to fish you will pay for them.

I don't mind paying for them. It is like 1 hughes river, or 1 tank of gas, or 1 dinner on a Friday night, ect...

The cost to hunt and fish is minimal when you consider the fun that you get out of it. They can charge me more if they want, it's still a bargain.
