I think the scales will tip towards casting, but I have been trolling more last year.

I feel like I am just wasting gas when I am trolling. Slow, fast, deep divers, shallow divers, doesn't matter all I have for it in ten years is one 30" caught by me, and a 34" caught by a friend out of my boat.

I mainly cast because I am not good at trolling well. To me it is more than just dragging baits, and I find that I am sometimes wasting my time when I troll because I do not do it properly. I have been meaning to work more at it. Hopefully this year.

I do usually at least troll between spots.

I cast probably about 95% of the time. The only time ill troll is deeper breaks and sometimes while travelling from one spot to the next.

I am heavier on casting but usually troll between casting spots and will troll all day if that is what it takes.

I cast about 90% of the time, but troll more later in the season.

I troll about 30% of the time, but my time trolling has been very effective for me. I often think I should be trolling more than I do.

Although I live in Vilas, I'm 95% trolling. Lots of oar and elbow grease. WELL worth it.

It's hard to say. I love to cast and I would say spend a little more time casting then trolling. I do however love to troll as well. And the more I learn about it, the better I am getting at it.
So I say maybe 60% casting 40% trolling. There are times when casting is better, and times when trolling is better for boating fish. So I let the fish decide how much time I spend on each.

100% caster thus far.....haven't fished much trollable water up my way. As a result, I have no clue about trolling except to flat line and try hitting some edges and breaklines perhaps.

Would be willing to learn and will eventually force myself to have trolling in my bag of tricks.

I troll 70% of the time and cast about 30. I cast on vacation, in the very early spring and the very late fall and pretty much troll the rest of them time.

I cast 98% of the time. I like to hook the fish, not have the boat do it for me. Trolling, to me, is something to do while I eat lunch. It is boring.

I'm probably 70/30 casting/trolling. Don't troll until July-August on Pewaukee, and then again in the fall up on Green Bay.
