| I was talking about smaller lakes on windy days more concerned about ride than survival have always used 14 foot rentals and 2 foot of chop kills the back. |

Location: MN | Jim - I have a 16ft Crestliner and you'll be fine on smaller lakes even with the wind gusting. However, Mille Lacs would be another story. I watch the weather before going to MilleLacs and do not take my boat out when wind are 20mph Plus.... I live in the MSP Metro, and fish Tonka quite a bit. On the gustiest of days, I just slow it down...It will handle it, but I believe it is also the driver!
Oh, and you may get a little wet!
