I remember the old In Fisherman articles that told of Mark Windels tactics for bucktails. He didn't even take the time to move to the front of the boat, he just put the outboard in reverse and would steer with his legs. The theory was to present the bait to as many fish as possible in order to find that active fish that would bite. Has this fast paced technique passed on or is it still alive and kicking?

Still alive and kicking. It all depends of the day though.

Not to that extent, but yes when the conditions are right and the fish are on the feed a speed presentation is the way to go. The more fish you can present your bait to when conditions are optimal the more fish you will catch in that time span.

Should have seen DaveJ and Theedz, and Kly and me on LOTW last year on Wednesday! I know Dave and Theedz were running back and forth between several spots, and Kly and I kept hitting 3 or 4 for the duration of that afternoon. It seemed like all hell was busting loose for a couple hours. Mauser caught 2 from shore right around that same time as Kly and I were heading out. Tried to talk to Dave on the VHF, but he only answered when they were on the move.

Lately its been the gas stations where I have been doing that.... what with the price of gas and such... Fishing wise I have only done it for bass when they were on a big spinnerbait bite...
