| Just wondering what everyone bought in the offseason, now that open water is here and the fish seem to be getting fat (holy smokes that is a big Cave fish on the front cover!)? Me and the hubby "invested in"
-New Lakewood (the big size)
-4 new downeaster rod holders
-his and hers fig rig rods
-4 wileys for trolling
-and our first Hughes River!
What did you "invest" in? |

| I like to fish with suckers, but I don't like being one. I just read time on the water and as a result I'm planing on reducing my tackle expenditures and focusing my resources on geting to big fish water. The muskies don't care if I have a new rig or the latest equipment. I think thats more of an ego thing or a short cut mentality. I think the only way I'm going to get more big girl slime on my hands is if I spend more time on big fish water(canada). That means $, and if have choice between a new bait or throwing 20 bucks in the canada jar I'm buying the new bait. Who am I kidding, I'm just plain sick! |

Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | Gander if you PAY enough you can BUY a hat off of me. TackleFIRST is SOOOOO close to being ready, but let me see if I can beg the old man to have people send money to him and I will ship from my house. I am REALLY bad about shipping things on time, so it's probably better that people just bite a bait and wait til TackleFIRST is open.

Location: Sheboygan Falls, WI | PLEASE, DO NOT LET STEVE JONESI POST AN ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION!!!!!
There is not enough room for him to even start listing the baits that he bought at the Chicago Musky Show, much less any of the other shows he was at.
I heard a rumor that he is now renting a 20'x20' storage unit with all of the walls peg boarded to hang his baits. I also heard that he bought shelving and peg boarded gondolas (spelling) from a K-Mart that was going out of business to make aisles in the storage unit. My understanding is that he wanted to be able to walk the aisles and feel at home in a musky shop.
Is it true that he bought a 619 to use as a tackle box to pull behind his 621 when he goes out fishing?
Steve, just have to give you a hard time. Dave was in the store twice in one week already. First with your dad, great guy, and then with his fiancee, she is really nice also. Give me a shout, not sure how to get in contact with you now.

| Me wonderful thoughtful wife bought me a one way ticket to the "wood shed", complete w/ a quaranteed daily arse thumping, good for one full year. It appears that somewhere along the line I failed as the leader of the family unit, and must now be punished. As far as fishing stuff goes, I loaded up on 4 new sea casting outfits, a new cooler/rod rack combo, a Hitch Haul, and a 'Burb to cruise the coast and local waters w/; not to mention a new family of concrete lawn chickens adorning the front yard...for some odd reason, she got the wild notion that clothing/food for her and leetle Sponge and trailer maintenance were more important... |

Location: oswego, il | If it glides and it's new I bought it. Alot of crankbaits for trolling too. I just bought a ton of stuff. I did not realize it untill last weekend but to list it all here, I would have to go out to the garage and get the two plano boxes that we completely filled with new baits to list them. I way overdid it, I feel like I just ate two large pizzas. |

| I didn't buy any lures this year. I did get 2 St Croix Avids, and a Premier Glass. I have 3 Morrums on order. I bought a Trollmaster Pro for the Esox Angler SS, and am thinking of adding an X-19C.
I stole a Musky Nut hat at Chicago Extreme Show from Shady.
Lauren ran around the Milwaukee Expo on Sunday with her picture, and got a bunch of stuff, from Karen D, Laura, PK, Shady, Mepps, and a cool Believer hat from Luke at Drifter. Thanks to all! |

Location: Iowa | I tried to be good this winter. A few assorted crank baits, few gliders, couple spinnerbaits/bucktails, a bunch of stuff to build my own bucktails, and a new 6600 Morrum that sits on the new 8' Fig Rig. But the off season is over for me now, and I've found a new job, so I think it's time get some more stuff that I probably won't throw very often, but JUST GOTTA HAVE IT! How did I forget the MUSKY MONSTER!!!! WOW!
