Mr. Steve Worral, I would like to donate a full day
(10 hrs.) GUIDE TRIP to the area water of the winners choice, to be auctioned off for the Ashton Wide Smile Fund. I guide here in Western WI on Deer, Bone and Cedar Lakes as well as most of the surronding Musky waters. I will also "throw in" a couple of Hand Tied Bucktails along with a Perch Squirko at the same time. Please take care of the auction for me if you would so that all moneys get to the right place in a timely manner. We can run this thing for as long or short a time period as you see fit. I hope that we can generate a few more dollars for the fund in this manner. Somebody must want to go fishing up here.

Bringing this back upto the top. Haven't gotten a bid in a day or two, so I am thinking that there must be something wrong with the package. Think that I will sweetin up the deal just a bit more. I don't know how many "lefties" ther are out there but I am also throwing in an Ambasseduer 6501-C. Now this reel is not brand new but has seen very little usage. (came off of a client set up that I upgraded recently} This brings the whole deal up to a guided fishing trip, two hand tied bucktails, a perch Squirko, two Reef Hawgs & a 6501-c reel. Oh my goodness I don't think I can stand it, I may have to bid on this stuff myself.

Sponge, now this is more of what I had in mind when we started this thing. But I gotta say this in the interest of trully fair play. Or maybe I would call this a little bit of coersion.
Come on you guys from up here in the frozen North, you gonna let a guy from South of the Mason Dixon Line out do you on this one?

Sponge, this is pretty stiff competition for the folks up North here. I am not sure they are up to the challenge. LOL ] [] [] I am sure that we have a big spender up here in the Northland somewhere, anywhere. Come on folks don't make me have to share my boat with Spongebob plllllease. Can't someone help me out here? This is a mere pittance for all that you will receive in return. This of course would include my undieing gratitude for getting me off the hook with SPONGE.......[;)]LOL x 2
Keep up the good work Sponge, I really appreciate the bids & if the guys up here can't come up with the dough I will look forward to a day on the water with you & your's [:p]

Sponge;
I'm not sure if you planned on coming alone or with the rest of the Spongeola's but if your interested let's take it to $ 400 and I'll split the cost with you...I would love the chance to meet you and share a boat for a day.

The MuskyAdventures Hacienda is always open invitation for lodging. (Our extra bedroom)

One of my serious wishes for this Christmas is that God's grace be shed on Ashton, Steve & Jodi and their families in their challenging time.

$400 a little tough for me to swing alone with trying to get my own guide business off the ground again and I don't hardly every get to fish these waters. Let me know if your interested.

If you agree and anyone wants to top it, I'll sweet'n the pot and throw in 3 of my own custom designed bucktails ($45) tied by Ron from Crazy D's and send them to Muskyone to be given to the top bidder on the fishing date.

Let me know if your in,

Mark, don't worry about the split...I'll finance the stuff! I doubt the wife would travel that far for fishing but if I win + can come, we'll do it.....if I can't make it, you can have the trip + pick someone! Main thing is getting the little fellow back in the saddle. Save the $$$ + get your business started.....brother wants to open a fishing/hunting shop here as the only 1 in town is bare + open at odd times....I may see what shakes this spring![:0] [:sun:]

That's mighty generous of you oh porous one... If you can make it I insist on pitching in as I too want to contribute and my share will not break the bank. Thank you though, I honestly appreciate the gesture.

Ok guys, let's dig deep and see if anyone has a big enough heart to top our bid. The waters that muskyone guides on are some of the best in our state.

I have sweetened the pot with 3 new custom tied (color/length/blade configuration/weight) bucktails that one of the best tiers in the business makes for me, a $45 value. You can't buy these and trust me they catch fish when others don't. With everything that's been thrown in the 1/2 of your bid will be made up in the tackle donated.

Tis the season for giving, what you get back will warm your heart ten-fold..[:halo:]

Mark, thanks for the addition of the three bucktails. I was just over to see Ron on Sat. Say hello for me the next time you stop by.
As for you, most porous of fellows, if you have the winning bid you can bring the little ladie along. I think that we could find something to peek her interest. Do you know how to spell MALL OF AMERICA.............Boy are you in trouble now. LOL [] [] [] [:praise:] [] As for all the rest of you out there, lets see just a couple of more bids at least. Someone still can get me and old sponge off the hook. [:knockout:]

Muskie Medic, thanks for the bid and the vote of confidence about fish size. I haven't seen any of these guys match your bid yet. I musy be crazy but here I go again. will throw in a half dozen of my favorite Musky Jigs with hard to find Larew's Salty Dawg Lizards for each one.
WOW 5- bucktails, 2-Reef Hawgs, a Perch Squirko, 6 count em
6-Jigs and Lizards w/leaders, 1-6501c Reel plus a full day on the Western WI lake of your choice. Heck we can even switch lakes once or twice during the day if you'd care to. This is almost more than a normal Muskie addict can stand. I think that we should get this all wrapped up soon so we can find another item or two to bid on. One more week guys, next Saturday night I will wrap this up unless there is a special request not to.
I may have a few more goodies to auction later this winter, let's see what comes up. [] [] [] []

Geez, I sincerly appologize oh porous one. But just for you if you win and can come I will load the cooler up with all the Coca Cola you care to drink. I will also spring for breakfast & lunch at one of the local grease emporiums. Everyone keep on bidding so as to build the SMILE fund up as high as we can.

Okay Guys here''s your update! My little grandson Ashton, born with a bi-lateral cleft lip and bi-lateral cleft palate, had a setback last week when his upper jaw collapsed again. My daughter had to take him back down to Madison again. They had to redo his dental impressions and refit him with a new, bigger jaw expander. Hopefully this will not postpone his first surgery on Jan. 17, 2002 to put his lip together so feedings will get easier for him.

On a lighter note, my ''little trooper'' has his first tooth. It is only a calcium pre-baby tooth that makes his little smile funny, but this grandma thinks he''s just getting ready to start eating red meat!!! ( Venison, Jo, of course!!)

Thank you again to everyone that keeps bidding on the items up for auction. It really has helped soooooo much. My daughter has to take Ashton down to Madison every two weeks and thats quite a trek for them to make. Your generosity has helped pay for gas, special nipples to make feedings somewhat easier for the little guy, and will ultimately help her pay for lodging as needed during the seven surgeries he faces at this point.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart, my daughter''s heart, and from Ashton''s heart. If he could talk he would thank you all too!!!!!!!

Sincerely,

Jody Holbrook
Ashton''s Grandma
muskiegoddess[]

Addendum:12/06/2001

Ashton will not even have a hard palate, something the rest of us take totally for granted every time we speak, until he nears seven years of age. The surgeries are scheduled to match his growth, and will be a trial for him and his parents, for certain.

His mom has another child, a two year old delightful little girl, and really has her hands full. Ashton is, of course, a "special needs" baby. Ashton''s mom cannot possibly work and care for him properly too, and THAT is why I am helping the little guy.

It is a tough enough situation to have a special needs child and another little one. The situation is compounded by the fact the surgical team is in Madison, a long trip for the family to have to take every other week at the minimum.

I also wish to thank everyone who has donated or bid, and that is right from the heart...Thanks.

Steve Worrall

You all are very welcomed. If I see I can help some more in the future I will for sure.
We have so much to be thankfull for and sometimes we have to sit back and see what others have to go through and realise that we need to step up and help as every little bit helps.

Our prayers are with little Ashton and his family.
