I caught a 53 inch musky from Cave Run on Saturday March 27. Sunday another fisherman caught a 53 incher within a 100 yds from where I caught mine Saturday. She tore her left lip pretty bad while thrashing in the net when I caught her on Saturday. The fisherman who caught the 53 on Sunday sent me a picture of his 53 and she had the pretty torn left lip that mine had. I honestly think it is the same fish. Never know?????Regardless, we can both be proud to catch a musky of a lifetime and both be proud to know that she is still lurking in the murky waters of Cave Run Lake. 100% proof that Muskies Inc. members practice what they preach. CPR is where it's at. If you would like to see my pics, send me an email at [email protected] and I will be glad to forward them to you. HOOKED FOR LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations to both captors.

In the UK we've had a policy of Catch & Release & the accompanying code of good handling for many years with the result that some monster pike have been caught several times...sometimes from nearby locations & other's over a mile away. One particular specimen that went to over 40lbs had a recorded history of over a dozen known captures, between 27 & 42 lbs.

C & R..way to go.

I just got Roger's pic's. That is one Awesome beast. After seeing the other picture of MuskieMan's 53 incher and now seeing Roger's 53 incher pic, I would have to say that, that is the same fish. Simply because, I would like to think that I know the Cave fairly well and it definitely look's like that is the very same stretch of bank that they both came off of. That's pretty cool! Congrat's to both you on your catch and release. cpr Chris

Supports a theory I've always held that when these fish are on a feeding frenzy NOTHING (short of keeping them or mishandling them) stops them until their satiety center is fulfilled....kinda like us guys eh?? I've caught the same ski three times in a day (small pond)! Congrats guys!!
