| Several good options out there....Many good alum boat companies.
With glass boats, Ranger and Triton offer some awesome awesome boats...what are the high end alumimum boats, or is that a oxy moron?
Anyone run that Alumicraft Trophy 20? Or any other aluminum boat that is over 18' 6"?
What about the Pricecraft Super Pro 19 1/2 footer or 20 footer?
Who runs a 19' or better alum boat?

You may want to slide over to WalleyeFIRST.com with this question. Lots of "eye guys" run big Lunds, Crestliners, and Alumacraft.
I looked at an Alumacraft the other week when I was at a local dealer picking up a part... pretty darn nice looking rig. |

| If your looking for a super aluminum muskie rig. Take a look at the G3 angler v 185c. I own on myself. I am fishing PMTT out of it. I am starting #12. It is set up great. It has 8' tube rod holders. Two livewells, one being 52"
I purchased mine through Rockdale Boat Mart in Ashland Kentucky. That is about an hour for Cave Run Lake.
You can get one with either a 115 four stroke or 150 efi for around $23,500 rigged.

| Just purchased a NEW Crestliner Fishhawk 1850 Muskie edition DC. I love it! 9' tube rod locker. 55" live well. 95" beam. This boat is wide and stable. Huge casting platform, front and back. More than enough room for two guys, two lakewoods, net, etc... Can't wait until opener here in WI. |

| Guest, is triton coming out w/ a alum boat bigger than 17" thats Deep V?
i'm looking for a big water boat,i currently have a 17 foot bass boat.
thanks guys for the suggestion. I went to walleyefirst w/ my question...they are great. i forgot about Starcraft...they make great boat...thanks all the help guys. Wife has gave me the OK to start lookign at what i want..so i cant wait to get a new rig. I think it's the only reason i come to work, to buy a new boat.
Everyone, including my brother, runs a Lund or Crestliner, so i'm looking past those 2.
Hell, what do i know? i think i'm set on getting alumimum, but i might have to get glass...

Location: Algonquin, ILL | Tomcat: Check with your Bro Steve, he fished with me at the sabaskong outing last year out of my Lund Mr.Pike 16 he can tell you about the stability and other good stuff, Lund also has a 18ft version of my boat.

just buy the cresliner 202T or the 1850 fishhawk. great rigs just ask Ken Jackson he has the Muskie edition of the 1850 and loves it

By the way, I own a Crestliner 1850. This Triton is MUCH nicer. Deep V, 8ft lockers, 50" live wells, up to 20' models, all aluminum - no wood construction.
I am not a dealer, just like what I've seen.

Check out a Tracker Tundra. Smart layout, and huge amounts of storage, 50" livewell. Comes standard with swing away tongue and trailer brakes, and a lot of other nice features. 3 rod lockers - one on each side, and a two level centerline under the front deck. V-pad hull and because it's formed aluminum, the complex curves you can usually only get on glass hulls. Doubt you could find a better riding aluminum boat...

| OK shep...you cant admit what you dont know! (but maybe i am the dumbest of the hulbert bros.) you say those are great musky boats...i already have great musky boat, i want an awesome musky boat.
sure, Lund makes a pretty good boat
But, thanks for the cheap jab...not bad for all walleye fisherman.
RobbK, thanks for info about the Tracker. i have tracker now, but not a Tundra...really looking to stay away from Mercs. (wife wont let me get a Merc either). But, i'm sure i could get one rigged w/ another motor, but not many Tundras w/o Mercs. you are right. sweet lay outs.
Guest, i love Tritons...what is aluminium model that is up 20 feet and deep v? i cant seem to locat them. but they sound awesome. i couldnt 'find them at www.tritonboats.com
Boat shopping...it's fun. SHould i just forget about the ALum idea and go Glass? i though glass would be alot heavier than alum boat..but when you are talking 18-22 foot boats, there seems to be no real weight difference. Now...i'm back to glass vs alum...does Glass really offer a much better ride in bigger water? i have been in big waves in big alum boats, but nothing too rough in glass. any more insight would be great! thanks

| Tomcat, I have got a flyer from the place I mentioned that says they have 17'6", 18'6" and 20'6" models with 8ft or 8 1/2ft beams. Single, Dual Console or Walk Through Windshield. This is a VERY NEW MODEL and from what I can tell, looks like a great boat.
Give that number a call, ask for Maurice Potvin. BTW, he is a heck of a muskie fisherman. MI Century Club and former guide.

| Guest, thanks buddy. i just got off the phone w/ Maurice...cool dude. thanks a ton...The Indianapolis are triton dealers are not carrying the deep vee alum boats, as they already carry Lund or Princecraft...so, i'll head in Ohio and check 'em out! thanks musky guest.
