Well LCO was bust for me. WI-DNR had pulled the launch dock. So brisk south winds Sat afternoon, made it impossible to launch by myself. Went to Grindstone & launched -(launch dock is also out there.) Tried the interconnect between LCO & Grindstone. Maybe if you had a Jon boat you could make it. I got wet! I should have just fished Grindstone, but had left the Grindstone maps at home. Went to Butternut, Buddy's cabin on the Schneur lake to get dried out. They're deer hunting in the Cheguamegan. Got up early & headed back to LCO. Breakfast in Clam Lake at the Elkhorn (Gloanne & Shirley really take care of you) Best sausage gravey & biscuits I've ever had. Also deer registration station (As of Sunday AM. 90-Bucks 22-Does. Biggest->10 points. Got back to LCO- (Two trucks in the parking area.) Wind was down, but still a little brisk from the south. One boat camped on the small reef directly out from the launch, figured they were soaking suckers (They were still there when I left). Did some exploring in west half of lake. Found the Cisco's all over in ~40' of water by Whitefish Creek. They looked like snow on the Eagle 6100. They were scattered all the way through the water column. Trolled the breakline but no takers using Depth Raider (Cisco), Lindy Big M (Firetiger) & Little Ernie (Durst Purple Daze).

Checked the big center reef but rain started & wind picked up, visability started dropping. Being on new lake I decided to pack it in while I could still get the boat onto the trailer. (Next year GPS!Santa???)All in all a pretty lake with lot's of bait, I marked some pretty good cisco balls farther out from shore while trolling over to the center reef. The ride back to the landing was a little rough. But the boat loaded first shot. Definitely going to spend some time on both LCO & Grindstone next year.;-)
