Just spent a weekend at the Extreme Show in Chicago telling prospective MuskieFIRSTers how great all of you are (really, its our members that makes MuskieFIRST great....Zach can think of all the cool things/features for the site, but without you the Member, the posting non-registered memeber, and even you the looker no poster.....MuskieFIRST would be NOTHING) and telling them WHY they should be a part of this Muskie Induced Circus/Community. But I'm wondering, what brought you all to the site?
I'm a 7/3...meaning that I was on the list of Muskie____al users who all got a mass emailing on 7/3/2001 announcing MuskieFIRST, and signed up, got involved and am what I am today (a life defined by MuskieFIRST, is that good or bad?) because of that one MASS emailing.
But what about you? How did you come to happen on MuskieFIRST?

I was unaware of your site until Richard Collin told me about it in November. As of yesterday, I now have one of your hats and many posts and web chats to my credit.

Steve

ps Nice meeting you at the show yesterday!

Can't remember for sure, but it was either through a search engine or ChadG told me to check it out. Either way, you are now a part of my daily life, which seems to be a good thing most of the time.

Jason Smith told me where to go! hehehe Been here from the start. It's the first, and last site I check everyday. Don't forget about WalleyeFirst and IceFishingFirst, either. Lot's of great guys over there, too.

I started making friends back in the muskie central days and followed the masses here, to the best musky forum available. That means the best site and the best users.

I made the jump over when muskiefirst started up. Glad I did. It's the one time when it was ok to jump when somebody told you.

Saw the muskiefirst.com sign on Steves boat at Paul Hartmans' Cass Lake Muskie tourney a few years back. Talked to Steve at the tournament meeting and when I got home logged on and joined. That was a few posts back. One of the best things I have done in recent years. This has been great fun and I have both learned a bunch and have helped spread the word myself.

I don't really know for sure. I've slept a few nights since then. I think it was a general search in AOL. It's by far the best (usually the "only") site I view for musky info. Great to get "cyberaquainted" with you folks. Great to meet some of you face-to-face.

Keep up the good work.

I was on Muskie Central when this site was first started and came over as probably one of the first members and never looked back. It's been a fun ride so far.

Came over from Muskie Central. Love the anti-bashing policy. Winters are long enough, and I need my cyber-fish fix. Zach and the 'first' crew have done a great job with all the additions through the years.

What brought me to Muskiefirst.... I have yet to figure that one out yet!!!!!!

I guess the good members that I enjoyed working so hard for to make sure that had something to learn everyday. I loved to share and to make everyone a better muskie angler. I loved spending time on the water with members and still do to this day.

I worked the site from day one until a year ago this week. My family is much happier to have me involved in there life. As Steve Van Lieshout said at the Milwaukee show....He has NEVER seen me happier!

I still stop in and touch base with you guys from time to time...its something I can never shake, good friends and great subjects.

Take care everyone...

Think I was persuaded to accompany Steve to one or two shows in 2002, then in 2003 got the pleasure of "manning" the MuskieFIRST booth by myself while Steve was selling boats, but had great time handing out cards and/or refrigerator magnets and talking to all the people. Then we covered lots of tournaments in the summer and fished a few as well. Would not trade my job ever

I was very, very fed up with the "all to often" pointless bickering and personal attacks that were the core of the Muskie Central website. Mr. Worrall informed me of the "new kid-on-the-block" website which was getting started. I haven't strayed since!
Keep up the good, no rather great, work. Life is way, way to short to get so serious that we can't have fun with a subject that is at least a hobby or recreation outlet, and at most a life long devotion of a hardcore fanatical group of zealots!
The biggest benefit however was getting to meet suzqwral!

A search brought me to the site. Great info and friendly members kept me here. The Outings are a BLAST and hook-ups to fish with various regulars are always memorable.

Last, some of the regular folks are beyond terrific; those few who ALWAYS reach out to help when other members are dealing with tough personal problems.
