Location: Stevens Point, Wi. | The April/May issue of IN-FISHERMAN has an interesting study done on various types of nets and their affect on the survivabilty of the fish released. This study was done on, of all things, bluegills, but the results were quite interesting. I would think that larger and more powerful fish would scew the results even more. For those of you who can't get a copy to read I'll list the results. All net types had 50 sample types each. The delayed mortality in percent was as follows: control sample( no net used) 0, rubber coated net 4, knotless net 6, fine knotted net 14, and coarse knotted net 10. | |

Interesting statistics, I think I'll stop by the local news stand and pick a copy and check it out.
Just another good reason to use a high quality net like Frabill's Power-Catch series. | |
