Location: Lindenhurst, Illinois | Anybody put a rust inhibitor in their plano boxes? I have heard that this is a good idea, but not sure where to pick up such a product? Any thoughts? |

Location: Holly, MI | Do you mean for moisture on the lures? Like a moisture absorbing bag or somthing like that? I would think somthing along that line couldn't keep up with a bunch of wet lures. My box gets opened and left open in the garage until all the lures have dried out. I have even hung a bunch of lures on the outside of the box for more airflow. |

Location: Chicago, Beverly | Most gun shops carry the stuff. I am not big on putting the stuff in with my lures though. The inhibitor chips are basically small pieces of cardboard coated with the inhibitor chemical. Works great for tools though. Left a pair of cheap needle nose pliers in the boat all season last year and barely had any rust on them. They were coated at the start of the season with the inhibitor spray. Another good product for tools is Birchwood Casey Sheath Rust prevantive. Also available at Gun shops. The chips do work, just put some in your tool box and they will either slow or prevent rusting. |
