Location: Athens, Ohio | Just a shout out to the USA team for their stunning victory.
Honoring the late Johnny Hockey after the victory was a real touch of class. m |

Location: SW Ohio | Wild game! 5-on-3 penalty kill, lost teeth and another OT goal for Hughes (one per tooth?). Canada out shot the US by almost 2X with a couple open net misses but couldn't get a second one past Hellebuyck. Great to see another gold for USA...46 years was too long a wait. Watched that game sitting in our barracks dayroom in Louisiana. |

| About as exciting a game as you could get. Canada's sore loser McKinnon, who said Canada was a better team seems to have forgotten that he missed what was essentially an empty net.
Hellebuyck played great. I know some diehards hate 3X3 overtime but I like it. Thought the U.S. coaches did a good job of picking lines for the OT. (Ain't hindsight wonderful?) |

Location: Brighton CO. | I love my hockey used to go see the Kings when I lived in So. Cal. when on any given night there would 5-6 thousand people at the old LA Forum and would go on say a Thursday night and buy a ticket for 20 bucks and be four seats back from the glass or set in the school section in the rafters for 5 bucks. When Gretzky came and ticket prices went thru the roof. The game was a lot slower and you would go to the fights and a Hockey game broke out. I was 19 year old college student in 1980 and when they won and in 1960 I was born later in that year. I thought the U.S. would win because of goal tending. I'm glad it's over having eight of my Aves. play made me nervous we were unbeatable before a couple injuries. Another Cup would be great. |
