Location: Roscoe IL | Its getting pretty bad for me. Might even get the boat out and go river fish some walleyes (i live in illinois) ice is almost off the Rock/pec/sugar here in the rockford area. Most of last summer my boat was in for a remodel, which turned out amazing (if anyone needs a new transom or boat paint in the midwest the guy who did mine is amazing and fair priced, made my 08 Tpro look like new) but i didnt get out that much with it due to it being down for 2 months, then with kids sports etc etc. |

Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | I have no winter hobbies except waiting for it to be warm enough out (also in IL) to fish for SOMETHING!!!!
Bought and rigged out a new kayak Sunday and now I can look at it for a week or so before I can actually use it. Killing me. |

come up to rockford area when the ice is out. Im not much of a walleye fishermen, but ive got a sweet boat to fish them out of. The pec gives up a lot of 30" walleyes in the late winter/early spring. Theres also the occasional mid 40s muskie caught |

Location: Brighton CO. | It's been very mild winter by me this year, except we had a week and a half of very cold temps on my pod in my town froze up but it's open now. I keep going down to cheek if they stocked it with Trout. (some years the Division of Wildlife stocks Trout in the spring) Last year they stocked twice but never published it. I just showed up with my Bass gear and started catching Trout.
Last fall when fishing with the guide in Wisconsin we talked of fishing with Beetle Spins and at times in the spring you can catch everything from Panfish to Muskies. Will I use Beetle Spins in my town pond to catch Bass. I make some of my own Bucktails and leaders and when I got some parts it had a close out on the little spinnerbait arms so I bought a bunch for dirt cheap now I've been making my own Beetle Spins in every color under the son. ( I had a bunch of Spinner blades around for making Walleye snell's) so that worked out well. I got some touch up paint jobs in the works and some line to spool. |

Location: Brighton CO. | Well today is Ash Wednesday off to Popeyes for Shimp for lunch, it's mild today I'll grill some Orange Ruffy for dinner and go to Culvers on Friday for Walleye. Yesterday we got some much needed snow in the high country, some small fires on the plains and a dust storm kicked up in a hurry and before they could close the road there was 30+ car pile up in the south. Spring time in the Rockies. |
