Howdy,

I’m looking to order some Ninja and Monster tubes for this fall and was trying to decide between the mid-depth rig or hybrid rig. I will be primarily fishing deeper weeds, open water and rock structure in the 10-15 zone.

I’m leaning towards the hybrid rig as I think the center eye will give me more erratic triggering action. However, I recognize this is a newer internal weight system and may not be the most universally applicable.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Take care,

Get both. Both will serve a different purpose. I used to use the hybrid more but gradually went toward mid. I like the bait to fall head first a little faster.

What Kirby said. I'd add that in the fall, I prefer to move a bit slower, and I've found hybrids more conducive to that, as the mids tend to fall faster. I also use shallows during the fall and retrieve them similarly to how I would a glide bait. All of them will catch fish.
