Any of you guys catch the Travis Richardson show a couple weeks ago? Herbeck was tying direct to a three foot section of mono or florocarbon. He briefly explained the knot. Any of you guys know the type of knot he used? Looked kind of like the powerpro line to line knot to me.

I've been watching this post, and now I'm 1 knot smarter. Thanks dude.
Herbie says it's a double uni-------------
I use 40# fluoro on my one rig and tie a 100# fluoro leader directly to it using an Albright knot but it has a weak spot, I hope this knot works better.........................

here is another picture of the Uni knot only it is the single instead of the double uni. Imagine the hook eye in this pic as your other line doubled back. Sometimes pictures are hard to follow. This link shows a moving image of the knot being tied..

The knot is simular to the blood knot that I prefer for line to line except the tag ends are at opposite ends of the knot instead of in the middle. I can tie a blood much faster and, although I don't know wich one is stronger the blood is very strong and I trust it. The uni to uni or double uni is easier than a blood knot if the lines have much difference in diameter. Here is the blood knot...

If you have two lines with a great difference in diameter use Albright..
