Have a crack in the gel coat on a Ranger 621. I showed George's a picture and they said it's cosmetic and not structural.

It's my buddy's boat and I'm trying to help him out to potentially find a repair shop.

I am going to call George's in Ham Lake tomorrow to see how backed up they are.

Does anyone have any other repair facilities in the Twin Cities (or north a bit) that they recommend for fiberglass/gel coat repair?

Thanks - Midge

Wrong direction, but 5 Star in Mondovi does excellent work.

Afton Marina has a full service paint shop. Just know that the flake pattern will never match factory original unless you repaint the entire hullside. UV does things to finishes.

And it won't be cheap.

Imperial Boat Repair in Hudson

My expectation based on previous contact is that you will need to leave it there and wait in line for it to be fixed. ( 4-6 weeks is my bet for this time of year )

Good Luck

Anchor in Delano.

Georges is the best but A) They are busy. B) They can be spendy. But they will do it right.
