| What is this marking on its jaw circled in red? Did it get snagged there before? Just curious?

| Maybe but if you caught it recently, many are scarred from spawning. Stood on my dock a couple years ago while a chunky fish swam under my feet during the spawn and it looked like it had been attacked by a weed wacker. |
