| Not fishing related, but if you are going to be in the Eagle River area, the Ice Castle is returning this year after a couple years where the ice was not adequate. It is a project of the volunteer fire department and other local volunteers. The main tower will be 28 feet high. They hope to have it completed sometime tomorrow.
The time to go is after dark, when the structure is lighted. Right now, local hospitality industry in the WI Northwoods is hurting, no snow = no snowmobilers. So stop by, take in a really neat structure, stop for some food and beverages. | |
