Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | The general Wisco opener was yesterday, but Muskie opens later in the month. Keith and I have been fishing Pelican on the opener for over 10 years, and yesterday was one of the best. Baby Creatures and Crappie Monster Mag Minnows on jigs produced well for us yesterday, even producing a 'future giant' muskie. 17 pike, 8 walleyes, and two bass hit the net. Fun opener for Keith and I.

Location: Brighton CO. | Looks like fun and great time to be on the water, I had lunch with a friend who is from Wis. and I talked of taking a trip early in the season and he wants no part of it. When he goes back he wants to fish Muskies AND Muskies only. I love my ultra lights and small 1/16 and 1/32 oz jigs and small twistertails, twithing minnows, Throwing small Mepps and Spoons, and all those Rapala's you can catch a Perch or a Muskie on any cast and anything between and before the crush of summer. Wish I was there. | |
