Location: SW Ohio | Tough bite for the field. The lake was up 5-7 feet the week before but they drew it down and stopped releasing water on Weds. Very little current. Anyone prefishing early in the week saw a slowdown as the weekend approached.
We fished 1/2 day Thurs and 1/2 day Fri w/o seeing a fish. Saw plenty on the graphs but they were hugging the bottom and many were paired up. Didn't see a fish Sat, either, although, again, they showed up on the side scan. Water looked great, probably the best we've seen during the past tournaments, and was in low 60's. Weather was outstanding all four days. Moderate winds, warm, with on/off cloud cover. No rain this time!
Sunday, gave up casting and started trolling around 8:30. Managed a 33 in Scott's Creek trolling between the sailboats after bait balls showed up. |

| Is the PMTT allowing the use of live sonar/FFS during their events this season? Their website isn't updated. It only says its not permitted for the 2023 season. |

That's a great question!. Man, were we surprised when one of the fish pics showed a LS in the background. A lot of heads turning back an forth asking questions about it being allowed but I think it's more of a case that is was not disallowed for 2024. If is not "not allowed", it has to be "legal", right? Not that it made any difference in the outcome, I guess. Tim never brought up the subject. |

| Given how controversial the subject seems to be, especially in the past on the PMTT, you'd think it would be VERY CLEAR on the rules portion of their website. |

| I wonder if the rules changed for 2024? I don't see a picture with a Garmin Livescope? One of the guys has his Garmin screen covered up. I do see a picture with a humminbird 360 it looks like? Does that count? Is there a 360 "live" or not live? Seems to be a fine line. I'm sure they cover all of that in the rules meetings. |

Location: SW Ohio | The one pic with a bird and a side mount appears to be LS but it is hard to tell. That is the one that raised eyebrows. Is it LS? IDK. As for discussing it at the rules meeting, nope. We are "required" to know, understand and follow the rules, and LS was not discussed. The website site under News>Live Scan states it was banned in 2023 and would be reevaluated each season. Can't find any info either way for 2024.
Did guys have them on their boats? Yup, not required to remove them. Was it used? Again, IDK. I don't have it...maybe one day. But I look at my side scan far too much already. And I "saw" plenty of fish on it that would not commit to anything we tossed at them. Maybe a "dynamite" crank with trebles next time? |

Covering it at the meeting a day in advance is ridiculous. People mount live sonar transducers on their boat and removing them in a few minutes isn't really feasible. It takes time and tools to do it.
Why not just announce or post it advance so everyone knows ahead of time? Whoever is running this needs their head examined. |

Location: Madison, WI | You don't need to remove the equipment from your boat just can't use it during tournament hours. That was in the rules last year |

| Like having suckers with you in the boat but trusting people not to use one with big money on the line. Uh huh |
