Some rain lately decreased the drought and brought many lakes close to the low pools or better and rivers over the banks. It has been COLD up here, so the pattern has a long way to go to reflect the early ice out. Should be a good opener.

I will be in the lake tomorrow morning to help my neighbor put his dock and lift in. Suspect it will be something less than toasty. Takes about 2 hours with 3 guys. Nice dock but way too many pieces. Built by the welding class at the tech college. Solid as a rock but moving in and out of the water was apparently not something given a lot of thought. Hope to at least get a Manhattan out of it and if lucky, a good cigar.
