Location: PA Angler
A buddy of mine lives in Ohio now and wants me to take him out for Muskie. Can anyone help me and tell me if Ohio has a closing season and what dates you can and cannot fish for them. Thanks

Sure. Season for muskie usually closes when the lakes ice over, but the walleye jiggers always get a few anyway (no closed season). You can fish for them right now.

Many Ohia streams hold muskies too but are not par of the stocking program above. Good luck, m

If coming from PA arguably the better fishing is near the northeast section. West branch, Leesville, piedmont; being mindful Leesville and piedmont are 9.9 restricted. Most the lakes are all fairly established though for whatever lake you decide in the state, CJ Brown is the only newer one and looks like it turned out a few 40" for the first time last year. Good luck whatever lake you choose. Spring can be great depending on how the weather turns out as it unfortunately is more unpredictable that time of year.
