Feel free to choose more then one and add to the options. Please, don't select an area if you have only fished it a day or two. This should be cool if we get a large response.

I had to add the Rhinelander area. Had no idea where else Pelican fit!!! There may be a couple others in the area I fish to, smaller lakes with no big fish. Right Steve

Basically only Il and In. Mostly IN. I don't get up to Wi often enough to vote for it.

There are way too many categories in one small geographic area for this poll to be useful. It really isn't much better than the "what's your home lake" thread. I like the way you did most states seperate, but Wisconsin just has too many categories that are too close together. Limit Wisconsin to Northeast (north of hwy 10 and east of hwy 13), Northwest (north of hwy 10 and west of hwy 13), and Southern (south of hwy 10) and eliminate all the others. Having categories for Minocqua, Eagle River, and Rhinelander doesn't tell very much. All those are within a 20 min drive of each other. Same for Presque Isle and Boulder Junction. Not much difference there but a 10 or 15 min drive. All those should be considered "Northeast". If you are going to be that picky, why not add St. Germain, Star Lake, Sayner, Conover, Phelps, Mercer, Manitowish, Manitowish Waters, Winchester, Tomahawk, Three Lakes, Sugar Camp, Park Falls, etc, etc. Heck, if I fish Big or Little St Germain which category do I check? Minocqua (10 - 12 miles away) or Eagle River (10 - 12 miles away), or both. This will inflate the northern WI numbers because most people will have to check multiple categories even though they mainly fish within about a 20 minute drive. Just 2 or 3 areas per state max and this would be far more telling of where people fish most of the time. Just my opinion.

I only voted for the Eagle River/Phelps area because that is where I spend the majority of my time. I do fish other areas such as:
Minoqua area
Manitowish Waters
Boulder Jct.
Wabeno/Townsend area
Shawano area

esoxcpr, please feel free to add a St. Germain area if you wish, or check both Minoqua and Eagle River. This is just for fun, not precise statistical research. I have a place in Minoqua and it's to far for me to drive to Eagle River to fish for a day, so that's why I divided it up.

I dunno about lumping W.Va and Ky. together. Kentucky has several large reservoirs while there is a lot of stream fishing in West BY GOD Virginia. I know, to you all it is just "down south". m

I do the vast majority of my fishing in Illinois and Indiana although I do do a few trips to Wisconsin and Kentucky every year. I've even been known to visit that state up north called Minnesota;)

GMG, I am from illinois but like last year, I probably won't even buy a license. I fish indiana, northern wi, this year northern minnesota and hopefully nexy year canada.

I would definitely buy an il license if they got rid of their stupid 10hp rule. Talk about a tourism blunder, STUPID!
