Location: KC-BBQ | Caught new PB that I will be getting a replica done by LAX! I remember seeing a replica of Shannon Green’s Iowa state record tiger Muskie in Oh Shucks Bait & Tackle by West Okoboji Lake. It was in a glass display case and absolutely breath taking. I searched all over internet for pics of mount with no luck. Would anyone happen to have pics of this replica or know where I could find some. Much appreciated! |

Location: KC-BBQ | That turned out nice! One I saw looked similar with the bottom completely covered with different size river rock. Mind me asking what he charged you for that completed mount and what was the length and girth of that fish. Thnx |

| I had a tiger muskie replica done by LAX in 2020. I attached a photo of it. His work is the best in the business, but its pricey. I think he's raised his rates recently too.

Location: Brighton CO. | I meet both Ron and Rick Lax at the Muskie Inc. 35th anniversary party in the Twin Cities in 2001 I started talking mounts with Rick and he sold me one of the displays with was the same length but fatter then mine. (I didn't have to pay for shipping or the waiting period and I had a friend who drove and could put it in his vehicle and drive it back to Colorado for me) This mount looks great for the most part but does have a painting flaw and has a repair to a fin. When Ron found out that Rick sold me that fish I could tell that Ron was not happy with Rick for selling me that fish with the flaws. It looks fine and I can look up at it right now as it sits above my desk. In 2001 it was 12 dollars a inch, In 2003 my dad caught our largest fish he didn't have mount done because of the price would pay for the next trip. I would highly recommend a Lax Mount. |

Location: KC-BBQ | Appreciate everyone’s comments. Wasn’t really looking for comments about taxidermy as I have a 52 on wall now done LAX and it is absolutely stunning with the attention to detail in his artistry! Will definitely be using him to do my 55 but wanted to do it in a glass display case like the one I had seen in okoboji Iowa of state record tiger musky. Still looking to see if anyone has any pics of that display or know where I could obtain some. Maybe IAJustin ? |

| I don't have much to add, I remember the mount at Shuck's bait and tackle in the early/mid 90's...about 90% sure that was a skin mount though? ...maybe they later did a replica?
