Location: Chisholm, MN | Depends on a lot of things. Depth you want you lures is the main one. I use 100lb braid to keep my baits higher. |

Location: Vilas County, WI | I use 80# Power Pro because many trolling baits depth curves (Bucher, Mike's Trolling Secrets) are based off that line running 3 - 4 mph. |

Location: Walker, MN | You have to have some give when trolling for muskies imho.
A parabolic fiberglass rod, mono, a perfectly adjusted drag...pick two.
I run 80# Sufux 832 on fiberglass rods, and check my drags often. |

| The issue of drag settings is one that I watch as well. I had been told by experienced troller to have some give in the drag, so as not to rip hooks out but it also is important if you snag a lure. Had that happen last summer, where I was in 8 to 9 feet of water, running a lure about three feet down when I snagged a rock point that I had not seen before. Line was down almost to the backing before I got completely stopped. Had I not had some give in the drag, line, lure or rod would have snapped. |

| I still believe in having some give in my trolling set-ups so I really like 30-50 lb Berkley Big Game Mono. |

Location: WI | Powerpro depth hunter is metered with a white dot every 5’ and a different color every 25’. I’ve been using 80lb. Works great for me cuz I don’t use line counters for musky fishing. |

Location: Northern Illinois | +1 one for Hi-Seas Blue water mono. Awesome line.
I also run 80lb and 100lb Hi-Seas Grand Slam braid too. Great line have not had any issues. I use the Braid for my down and boat rods, Mono for my board rods.
