On Friday, March 5, 2004, 7p.m. – 9 p.m., at the Powell County Courthouse, 526 Washington St., in Stanton, Kentucky there will be an organizational meeting open to all persons interested in organizing another Kentucky Chapter of Muskies, Inc.
The purpose of this meeting will be to determine the degree of interest and commitment in establishing a second Kentucky Chapter of Muskies, Inc... A major goal is to increase the Kentucky membership in Muskies, Inc. Current Kentucky members of Muskies, Inc. will be present to answer questions and suggest the steps that will result in the formation of a new independent chapter of the organization. If you are interested in muskellunge fishing in Kentucky you need not be a current member to attend this informational meeting.
Muskies, Inc. is an active, service-oriented, non-profit organization for men, women and children with the single focus of improving the sport of muskie fishing everywhere the fish are found. Founded in 1966 by Gil Hamm, the original group of thirteen avid muskie anglers concentrated on continual improvement of the muskie resource through rearing and stocking efforts and sound conservation practices.
Muskies, Inc. is widely recognized as the first organized group of sports anglers to espouse the "Catch and Release" practice now embraced by many conservation-minded groups throughout North America. Today Muskies, Inc. focuses on three critical areas: Youth, Fisheries, and Research

Directions: From Bert T. Combs Mountain. Pkwy take Exit 22 to Stanton on Hwy 213. At 2nd light turn left, intersection of Hwy 15. Turn right at first light onto Washington Street. Courthouse on right, corner of Washington and Court Streets.
