| This is getting ridiculous. I think I crossed over to fanatic now.
Last night I had a dream that I stuck a 49" on a jig. That would make my second jig fish and a personal best. And, the best part was that my daughter was with me to see it.
Maybe it's a sign of good things to come this year?
Is it open water yet?

I have one question, " What the heck is a Muksie?" |

...I have one question, " What the heck is a Muksie?"
Muskie (Muh-skee)noun : The biggest, baddest, meanest, moody, Fish at the very top of the freshwater chain. Belonging to the Esox (ee-sucks) family and sprinkled lightly around most of North America in just big enough populations to give anglers fits. It can get (according to rumors) up to 8 1/2 feet long and weigh up to 102.3 pounds (estimate). Its teeth have been said by some fearful anglers to reach 3 inches and are razor sharp. Poor folks who have been bitten (figurativly) by actually catching one of these giant water wolves on purpose seem to quickly get sucked into being a Muskie hunter for life. This is a long and miserable life of always being broke, divorced, obsessed, etc, but none the less always transfixed on the next strike.

Location: Metro, MN | I dreamed the other night that I saw some type of Rapala going by me, underwater, about 5 feet away. I was obviously some type of fish, and contemplating a strike on the lure (in the somewhat murky water). |

| The only bad part about dreaming about muskies is when you try and throw yourself out of bed setting the hook. Boy did that scare the hell out of my wife. I was actually upset when I realized it had only been a dream. I tried to fall back asleep right away so I could back after it, but to no avail.
