| I am headed for Indian Point camp this Saturday, and can't wait! A group I fish with was there last week, and had reasonable success with the Muskies despite HORRIBLE weather conditions. They also avearged over a dozen pike in the 'slot' a day, keeping things interesting.
My 'herpes' color Undertaker is going to get alot of 'glide time', and I had a dozen Violent Strike Magnums made up for the trip, so I'm ready to rumble with the Wabigoon Muskies! I'll probably stop over at Eagle to say hello to Herbie, and harrass him for a free beer.

| Only three more days...I will see if the camp owner can update how things are going every other day. I know they have a computer because of the indianpointcamp.com site. We will see. Jason and I are doing a Photo shoot up there for MuskieFIRST and Tuffy the first week of August, so it would be cool to be able to do an update every day. | |

| My tourney partner, Scott Ralston from Oak Lawn, Il, and his fishin buddy had several muskies there last week, biggest a 49" slob out of the Western Arm.(Tim--was on the side you saw me on last year, on the same weedbed, and that one I got was about 49", maybe same fish??)On my way Saturday, and Shannon has assured me a comfortable cabin at Indian Point, and an excellent docking space for ''Purple Haze''. | Steve, a mutual friend of ours, Ed Nygren, just got back from the 'Goon. He went with a "cheap" leader, and a 50"+
opened the snap on him while his Dad fumbled with the net.
Other than that, the other reports are say it all. Horrendous weather, winds, all the usual stuff we struggle with.
No good luck...but all great luck.
Get that Muskie Goddess/sun attractor to go with you. I bet that she can find a place to "power shop" even up there! | |

This is in DOWNTOWN Dryden. Big time Canadian shopping available, but not so much for the tourist as the folks that live and work there. It is a fine city, and reminds me of Rhinelander ( paper mill and all) before the Wal Mart, Home Depot, and Super K Mart arrived.
People are friendly, and a bit surprised anyone would actually fish for Muskie, and THEN<<< let them go if they catch one...Crazy Yanks is the term I have heard.
they are even more surprised to find we search out the legal sized slot ''Jacks'' to eat!!
The Muskie Goddess is a bit short on Vacation time, or she would BE there!![:((] | |
