I agree. If it does get to that, I'll be uncovering the boat as well.

Hopefully the ice will melt be next weekend, but IDK. I was surprised to see half of the lake I’ve been fishing Wednesday covered in ice. Safe to say next few days will make some hard water.

And yes planning on coming to the show again this year, probably come over on Friday.

While trying to decide which show to attend, the seminar schedule at Ohio beat out Chicago. Looks like any lousy weather will be out of there by Friday as well.. I'll be part of the mob in the foyer waiting to get in Friday!

I'll be there in the Saturday madness. May have the wife and grandson in tow. Our weekend to babysit but with the weather expected, I may fly solo.

Chase has been one of the more prolific members on my Muskies Inc chapter. He's pulled a bunch of 50's out of that little lake in West BG Virginia. m

Went today. Picked up some trolling wire line, a twilly tip and a couple Boss Shads after talking to them. Talked to Gregg Thomas about trolling with wire and what would be the best setup.

Listened to Brian Clark discuss short line trolling, side imaging (glad to hear my SI setup is right) and springtime tactics. Pretty good info. Seems I may have been trolling and casting a bit too deep in the spring even though our lake is very deep.

Of course, got into a couple raffles. MI Chapter 41 has about a 20 bottle spread of bourbon this year for the minnow fundraiser. I'm sure I'll make a few new friends if that lot ends up in my hands. And the MH raffle that includes a guide trip and lodging as well as a couple lures and TI telescoping rod.

Good way to spend half the day. I took some pics of the show and will try to get them loaded.

I too was pleased to know my 'birds are dialed in.. Chad and Greg put on great presentations as well.

That "buy six lures get 20% off" at Thorne Bros. always hooks me tho... and apparently a lot of other folks too!

I wanted to stay for Chad's seminar but we had to leave to get for the grandson to be dropped off between 2-3. It's about a 2 hour drive south for us. And Gregg will be in Wilmington in a couple weeks.

I had to make the most of the trip, since there's no longer a Musky Road Rules in Morehead, and Wilmington is too long of a haul for one day..

I do have to have to quiz Gregg on his Suick tuning method, namely tweaking the eye, and leaving the tail alone v. the traditional opposite.. I dunno, but he might be on to something..

I wish the lure swap and minnow fund raffle was a bit more publicized.. Had I known I would have stayed an extra night and thrown in a few bucks for the cause..

Yeah, I was surprised to see that Tony's place was not on the road Rules schedule. have gone to both a couple times just for the speakers. Same with the Southern Muskyfest that is again absent this year.
