Not hear to bash, but if you can read between the lines, I won’t buy any jbo products. Old ones, yes. New ones, no thank you. Last one I bought had the line tie at 45 degrees. Had to fight for a replacement.

Umm... no...

I seriously doubt there's a distinction in the manufacturing process, between the shallow, and depthraider..

This is nothing new, the way to fight labor cost is to go offshore (make it another country where labor casts less) If you buy a St. Croix rod and a St. Croix Mojo It's the same rod except the Mojo is made in Mexico and costs because of the labor.
When I lived in California I worked at a Defense/Aero Space Company and part my job was to components to our plant in Mexico and they would sent sub assemblies back. Then the final product was made in the security of the USA.

I bought a baby shallow raider for pike and I don’t like it. Even after I bent the line tie into place from how it came it still is an awkward lure. Wobble is too aggressive and doesn’t run very straight or dive deeper than a foot on a fast retrieve. I like the hooks though and have had action twitching it just below the surface.
