Had this squid for about 15 years. Decided to make my version of an Alien. Have to rubber band the front hook. I hope you like it Al! Can't wait to try it.

One thing for sure, bet they have never seen a bait like that before. Should catch fish just fine, probably just as good as a bull dog. Let us know how you do with it.

Interesting. Will you work it up and down?

Yes. It has a 1/2oz weight in the middle sonit won't nose sink. The blade will slow the glide a bit. I might play around with different blades.

Does the blade change how aggressively it kicks/glides to the side when you jerk it or pull pause it?

Have not tested it yet. The original Alien had a long glide. I suspect the blade will create drag lessening it and yes I can change the blade.

Looks great. I think you’ll trick some fish to eat that.

ToddM, the secret to that color is visibility, its "hot fluorescent pink" and visible at any depth or any water color. I've shutdown "Alien Tackle LCC" but still make them for friends, e.g., back to basement bait maker.. I'm not here to debate what works or what doesn't, and that only comes from experience.

I've made flap tail mod Alien's, but still prefer the naked version! Anyway have fun with it!

PS: You would like my "Hawg Wobbler II".

Have fun!
Al
