But, are you a bow hunter/duck hunter? |

I duck hunt 1-2 times a year. I fish northern MN until about the first few days of November until Rifle Season opens. I fish hard in September, less hard in october until the water cools down well. Then I give it one last hard push. So 3 months of hard fishing before, and about 2 months after. Pretty equal I'd say.

Pretty much exact same here. Though all those before Labor Day were caught mid-late August in Canada, so I guess that's pretty close. |

| My dad caught a lot of big fish in early July or late June (including our biggest) Me the fall both pre and post turnover. My dad did get a four footer on 30 September. Our largest fish was caught on the first of July and it was a late spring and think it was full of egg's. |

Location: E. Tenn | Definitely larger after Labor Day, but still do well in spring.. Down here we pretty much have to quit around Memorial Day, until mid August, when Melton Hill catches the 41 degree water from Norris Lake, as it gets pulled down to winter pool.
We do get to fish open water all winter long, so...

| Over 40 years of fishing I think it is about even. I have 2 over 50. One in July the other in September. |
